Two Years ago I was really enthusiastic, coming from a childhood without computers, I thought AI in specific gen AI would be a tool that would help me to bring my ideas to life without any exterior help. Like a Kids Dream coming true. you give in a prompt and results are like magic coming out of the machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I can admit now that was a treacherous path. After going through all arguments with friends, users, non users, consumers and non consumers, it felt wrong to use gen AI, the enthusiasm was gone.<\/p>\n
I decided to reject the use and come back to the real Thing that makes an Artist. Drawing, making Music, learning to animate.<\/p>\n
I’m also a very lazy and undisciplined Person, this is the point why gen AI had so much traction over me. Wanted to do great stuff with a minimal effort and minimal investement.
My goal was to make a movie or a Music Video. Made 2 Music Videos with gen AI. At first I thought they were cool, now I recognize they are not even worth the time I invested.
Still it was an experience that helps me when debating about the use of this technology.<\/p>\n
Today my views are Anti AI, I can see the flood of AI generated Images all over social media, mostly used for hate Propaganda, it’s cheap, sloppy and dangerous.
Why it’s dangerous, Gen AI is already so powerful that an untrained eye can not spot the difference between what’s real and what’s generated. It helps to spread lies, so much that in the end the truth itself is perceived as a lie.
Is it Art? Yes it’s the Art of deceiving, condemning Artist to constently prove that they are not using it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
AI was build to Control the masses, build to collect incredible amounts of data without consent, categorizing human beings and target them (the best example is how it’s used in Chinas social score System), Combined with Surveillance Technology, it reduces the human into a number, every step is monitored and controlled. You will be sanctioned because you fall out of the grid, because you are a rebel or a dissident. Adjustments can be made throughout who is in charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
